Fenerbahçe vs Roma Predicted Lineups: Dybala and Malen Set to Start

Paulo Dybala and Donyell Malen are expected to lead Roma’s attack in Istanbul, while Matias Soulé and Rodrigo Mora compete for the final attacking position.

Roma’s seven-year wait for Champions League football ends tonight when Gian Piero Gasperini’s side face Fenerbahçe at 18:45 CEST—12:45 PM ET.

The Giallorossi arrive in Istanbul with almost their entire squad available and confidence high following three consecutive Serie A victories. Lorenzo Pellegrini is the only notable absentee from the travelling squad selected by Gasperini.

Gasperini Expected to Start Dybala

Gasperini is reportedly prepared to retain Dybala in the starting lineup, with Malen leading the attack. The main uncertainty concerns the third attacking position, where Soulé and Mora are competing to start.

Five of the six Italian newspapers surveyed predict Soulé will be selected, while Il Tempo expects Mora to receive the opportunity.

There is greater agreement elsewhere. Mile Svilar should start in goal behind Roma’s established defensive trio of Gianluca Mancini, Evan Ndicka and Mario Hermoso.

Nahuel Molina is expected to replace Emanuele Lulli on the right flank, with Wesley retaining his position on the left. Bryan Cristante and Manu Koné should continue together in central midfield.

Predicted Roma Lineup Against Fenerbahçe

Based on the majority of the newspaper predictions, Roma should begin in a 3-4-2-1 formation:

Roma (3-4-2-1): Svilar; Mancini, Ndicka, Hermoso; Molina, Cristante, Koné, Wesley; Soulé, Dybala; Malen.
