Guaglianone playing for Roma Primavera against Milan in their 1-0 win

Milan Primavera 0-1 Roma Primavera: Guaglianone scores winner as Giallorossi stay unbeaten

Roma Primavera returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory away to Milan on Sunday. Guaglianone scored the only goal in the 62nd minute before Milan finished the match with nine players following the dismissals of Cissé and Nolli.

The fifth-round Primavera 1 result takes Mattia Scala’s side to 11 points and keeps their unbeaten start to the league season intact.

Guaglianone breaks the deadlock

The first half was evenly contested. Milan created openings, but Guaglianone came closest to scoring when his quick left-footed effort struck the crossbar shortly before the interval.

Roma increased the pressure after the restart and found their breakthrough on a counterattack. Francesco Panico carried the ball forward and picked out Guaglianone, who drove a right-footed shot high past Milan goalkeeper Catalano in the 62nd minute.

Guaglianone remained at the centre of the action. Two minutes later, the already-booked Cissé pulled him back away from the ball and received a second yellow card. With a goal and a player advantage, Roma controlled the remainder of the match. Nolli was then shown a straight red card in stoppage time for a challenge on Cama.

It was a narrow scoreline, but an important response after Roma’s recent league draws. Guaglianone supplied the decisive finish, and Scala’s side saw out the result to claim all three points. The match timeline and lineups were reported by MondoPrimavera.
