Speaking about Malen’s condition, Netherlands coach Xavi suggested that the problem was not considered serious.

“Malen is in an excellent period of form,” Xavi said. “It was something that emerged at the very last minute, just as happened with Justin Kluivert, but that is football.
“I believe Donyell is fine. It is nothing particularly serious.”
The comments will provide some relief to Roma, with Malen having established himself as an important part of Gian Piero Gasperini’s attack.
