The Serie A sporting judge has fined Roma €3,000 after supporters threw two firecrackers into the playing enclosure during Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Inter.
The Serie A sporting judge has announced the disciplinary decisions relating to the fifth round of the 2026/27 season.
Roma received a €3,000 fine for the conduct of a section of their supporters during the 2-2 draw against Inter at the Stadio Olimpico.
Roma Fined Over Firecrackers
The official ruling explained that Roma supporters threw two firecrackers into the playing enclosure during the match.
“Fine of €3,000 imposed on Roma because their supporters threw two firecrackers into the playing enclosure during the match,” the statement read. “The sanction was reduced pursuant to Article 29, paragraph 1, letter b of the Sporting Justice Code.”
No further punishment was imposed on the club in relation to the incident.
First Cautions for Three Roma Defenders
Daniele Ghilardi, Evan Ndicka and Konstantinos Koulierakis also received their first disciplinary sanctions of the Serie A season.
All three Roma defenders were shown yellow cards during the second half of the match against Inter.
Roma had entered halftime with a two-goal advantage following a brace from Manu Koné, but Lautaro Martínez scored twice after the interval to earn the Nerazzurri a 2-2 draw.
Juventus Fined Following Sandro Mazzola Tribute
The sporting judge also imposed a €10,000 fine on Juventus following an incident during the minute of silence held in memory of former Inter and Italy legend Sandro Mazzola.
The ruling stated that a small proportion of supporters in the first tier of the Curva Sud had “conspicuously failed to respect” the tribute.
The sanction was reduced after Juventus promptly and formally condemned the behavior, while the remainder of the crowd dissociated itself from the actions of those involved.
No individual stadium bans or additional sporting penalties were announced as part of the ruling.
