Roma have confirmed that Edoardo Morucci has successfully undergone surgery and will begin his rehabilitation programme shortly.
The club announced that the young player underwent bilateral inguinal hernia repair surgery on Wednesday in the presence of Roma’s medical staff.
Morucci to Begin Rehabilitation
The procedure also included reconstruction of the conjoint tendon and ilioinguinal neurolysis.
“AS Roma announces that today Edoardo Morucci underwent bilateral inguinal hernia repair surgery, with reconstruction of the conjoint tendon and ilioinguinal neurolysis, in the presence of the club doctor,” Roma’s official statement read.
“The player will be discharged tomorrow and will begin his rehabilitation protocol.”
Roma have not provided a specific recovery timetable. Morucci’s condition will be monitored throughout the rehabilitation process before a potential return to training is considered.
