Pierluigi Gollini and Marten de Roon received some of Roma’s highest newspaper ratings after the Giallorossi battled to a 0–0 draw at Como.
Called upon to replace Mile Svilar and Bryan Cristante, both delivered reassuring performances as Gian Piero Gasperini’s side protected a point despite Donyell Malen’s dismissal in the 53rd minute.
Evan Ndicka also earned strong marks, while Malen received the lowest scores across all six newspapers following his red card.
Gollini Makes a Reassuring Start
Gollini’s performance offered encouragement as Roma begin a demanding stretch without Svilar.
La Gazzetta dello Sport and Tuttosport awarded the goalkeeper 7.5, while Corriere dello Sport, Corriere della Sera and Il Tempo gave him 7. Repubblica’s 6.5 was his lowest rating.
His average across the six publications was 7.08, the highest of any Roma player.
De Roon Delivers in Midfield
De Roon was another clear success, earning 7 from five of the six newspapers, with Repubblica awarding him 6.5.
His average of 6.92 placed him behind only Gollini, reflecting the consistency of the praise for his contribution in midfield.
Ndicka completed the leading trio with an average of 6.75. Corriere della Sera was particularly impressed, awarding the defender 7.5 for his role in keeping Como at bay.
Malen Marked Down After Dismissal
Malen received ratings between 4.5 and 5, with his sending-off leaving Roma to navigate much of the second half a player short.
Dybala’s scores ranged from 6 to 7, reflecting a generally positive assessment despite his missed first-half opportunity. Pellegrini, who struck the post, received either 6 or 6.5.
The verdict on Soulé was more mixed, with the available ratings ranging from 5.5 to 6.
