Roma Guaranteed €53.1m in UEFA Revenue, With Potential for More

Roma have secured at least €53.1 million in UEFA prize money this season, according to an analysis by Football Meets Data, with further earnings dependent on their Champions League results.

The projection highlights the financial importance of returning to Europe’s leading club competition. While the minimum figure is already guaranteed under the account’s calculations, a place in the knockout rounds could significantly increase Roma’s total.

Roma’s Next UEFA Payment Due in November

According to Football Meets Data, €41.4 million was paid out in September 2026. The next payment is scheduled for 20 November, covering match bonuses earned across the opening four league-phase fixtures.

That instalment is expected to be worth at least €2.8 million, rising to €4.9 million if Roma win on Matchday 4.

The guaranteed €53.1 million therefore should not be confused with money already received: UEFA distributes the payments at different stages.

Champions League Run Could Lift Earnings to €78.9m

In its single-outcome model, Football Meets Data projects Roma to finish 13th in the league phase with 13 points, before progressing through the knockout play-offs to the round of 16.

Under that scenario, Roma would receive:

  • €6.3 million in additional match bonuses from nine further points.
  • €6.7 million in league-phase ranking payments for finishing 13th.
  • €1 million for placing between ninth and 16th.
  • €1 million for reaching the knockout play-offs.
  • €11 million for advancing to the round of 16.

The account also identifies two later payments: €7.86 million in June 2027, representing the remaining 25% of Roma’s Value Pillar allocation, and €750,000 in October 2027 as the outstanding portion of the starting fee.

Football Meets Data puts the overall return in that projected scenario at €78.9 million.

Guaranteed Income Versus Projected Earnings

The €78.9 million figure is a forecast, not a guaranteed payout. Across the account’s simulations, Roma’s average earnings are €70.7 million, with 90% of outcomes falling between €56.3 million and €97.7 million.

For the Giallorossi, the distinction is important: Champions League participation has already secured a substantial financial return, but results over the coming months will determine how much further that figure can grow.
