Bakola playing for Sassuolo

Roma Monitor Bakola as Sassuolo Rule Out January Sale

Roma are reportedly monitoring Sassuolo midfielder Bakola ahead of the January transfer window, but the Neroverdi have no intention of allowing the French youngster to leave midway through the season.

According to Tuttomercatoweb, Sassuolo consider Bakola an important part of their squad and have decided against a winter departure. Juventus and several Premier League clubs are also following his progress.

Bakola’s Reported Valuation Reaches €20m

Bakola joined Sassuolo in February for approximately €10 million. His performances since arriving in Italy have reportedly seen his valuation double to around €20 million.

The midfielder has made eight appearances this season, featuring six times in Serie A and twice in the Coppa Italia.

His development has attracted attention from clubs looking to invest in young talent, with Roma among those keeping track of his progress.

Summer Move More Likely Than January Departure

Sassuolo’s stance presents a clear obstacle to any January approach. The club are reluctant to lose a player they regard as an important resource during the campaign.

Roma remain interested, but any potential move may have to wait until the summer, when Sassuolo could reassess their position.

For now, the report points to scouting interest rather than an active negotiation, with no formal Roma offer mentioned.
