Emanuele Lulli is signing his new five-year contract with Roma, according to Fabrizio Romano, as the Giallorossi move to secure the young wing-back’s long-term future.
The latest update follows reports that the two parties had reached an agreement on an extension until 2031. Romano now indicates that the signing process is taking place, bringing the renewal closer to completion.
Lulli renewal reaches signing stage
With Lulli’s previous contract due to expire in June 2027, the extension represents an important step for Roma in retaining one of their emerging first-team players.
Earlier reports from Filippo Biafora and Lorenzo Canicchio outlined an agreement running until 2031, with a rising fixed salary starting at approximately €300,000 and bonuses linked to individual and team objectives, particularly appearances.
Romano’s latest update concerns the signing itself and does not provide further details on the financial terms. An official club announcement would provide confirmation of the completed deal.
A breakthrough rewarded
Lulli has become an increasingly prominent member of Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad, scoring his first Serie A goal against Genoa and earning the Player of the Match award.
Gasperini has praised the youngster’s speed, athletic endurance and willingness to improve. Asked about the renewal at his recent press conference, the Roma coach welcomed the development.
“I’m happy for him. He deserves it. Everyone’s objective is to improve individually, because that can make the team even stronger.”
The new contract would give Lulli a long-term platform to continue that progression, turning his first-team breakthrough into the next stage of his Roma career.
