Liverpool have been linked with Roma midfielder Manu Koné as they assess potential midfield additions, according to a transfer update from Ben Jacobs.
The Frenchman is mentioned alongside Monaco’s Lamine Camara in a report discussing interest from Liverpool and Chelsea in Bournemouth midfielder Alex Scott.
Koné emerges in midfield transfer discussion
Jacobs reports that Liverpool are interested in Scott, although they have less urgency to recruit a midfielder in January than Chelsea, who have made the Bournemouth player their priority.
Koné and Camara are subsequently named as other targets. The wording leaves some uncertainty over which club is pursuing those alternatives, so the Liverpool connection remains tentative.
There is no mention of a bid for Koné, contact with Roma or negotiations over a possible transfer.
