Roma are optimistic about extending Mario Hermoso’s contract, while Pierluigi Gollini is also moving closer to a renewal, according to Il Tempo.
The Giallorossi have reportedly begun initial discussions over a further extension for the Spanish defender, having already activated an option to prolong his deal by one year in the spring.
Initial talks over a new Hermoso agreement
The option exercised earlier this year secured Hermoso’s current contract until June 2027. Roma are now exploring an agreement that would extend his stay beyond that date.
According to Il Tempo, the early indications are encouraging. However, no agreement has been announced, and the report does not specify the proposed length or financial terms of a new deal.
The distinction is important: the extension activated in the spring is already in place, while the latest contacts concern an additional commitment.
Gollini also approaching a renewal
Gollini’s contract also expires in June 2027, and Il Tempo reports that an extension is increasingly close.
The goalkeeper has stepped into the starting side during Mile Svilar’s injury absence, taking on an important role during Roma’s busy domestic and European schedule.
A renewal would provide greater continuity in the goalkeeping department, although the duration and terms of the proposed agreement have not been reported.
Roma work to secure existing squad members
The updates follow the recent renewal developments involving Emanuele Lulli and Giorgio De Marzi, as Roma work on the futures of players already within Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad.
For Hermoso and Gollini, the outlook is positive, but both situations remain at the reporting stage pending confirmation of completed agreements.
