Giorgi Kvernadze playing for Frosinone

Roma track Kvernadze as €4m release clause offers summer opportunity

Giorgi Kvernadze remains on Roma’s radar, with a reported €4 million release clause making the Frosinone attacker a potentially affordable option for next summer.

The Georgian, born in 2003, has been linked with the Giallorossi since the last transfer window. Roma have continued to follow him, although the clause would only become available to exercise in the summer rather than January.

€4m clause could open the door

Kvernadze is under contract with Frosinone until June 30, 2028. According to the report, however, the release clause could allow an interested club to secure him before that agreement expires.

For Roma, the attraction is clear: a young attacking option at a relatively modest transfer fee. But the headline figure would not represent the full cost of bringing him to Trigoria.

Agent fees would increase the price

According to journalist Lorenzo Canicchio, a significant payment to Kvernadze’s agent would also need to be factored into any deal.

The report does not specify the amount or percentage involved, leaving the overall cost uncertain. Kvernadze shares an agent with fellow Georgian Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.

Those additional fees could make a difference to Roma’s assessment. A €4m clause provides an accessible starting point, but the club would have to weigh the complete financial package alongside the player’s suitability for Gian Piero Gasperini’s attack.

For now, Kvernadze remains a player Roma are following, with the reported clause making next summer the key window to watch.
