Neil El Aynaoui continues to find regular football at RB Leipzig, but several of Roma’s other loanees are struggling for minutes. Robinio Vaz featured for Hull City’s Under-21s, Artem Dovbyk made a brief appearance for Bologna and Filippo Reale endured a difficult afternoon at Verona.
There were more encouraging performances from Mohamed Seck and Federico Nardin, while injuries continue to delay Jan Ziolkowski’s progress at Monza.
Here is the latest roundup of Roma’s players out on loan.
El Aynaoui starts against Schalke and Manchester City
El Aynaoui added 164 minutes across two starts for Leipzig, playing the full match in a 2–0 win at Schalke before featuring against Manchester City in the Champions League.
The Moroccan midfielder played 74 minutes in the 3–2 European defeat, receiving a booking before being replaced by Nicolas Seiwald. Leipzig twice recovered from falling behind, but Erling Haaland’s late winner settled the match.
Although El Aynaoui registered neither a goal nor an assist, his continued involvement is encouraging. It follows reports that Leipzig are increasingly likely to exercise their €25 million purchase option.
Vaz plays for Hull’s Under-21s
Robinio Vaz was left out of Hull’s squad for the 2–2 draw with Ipswich before appearing for the Under-21s against Derby County in the Premier League Cup.
Coach Sergej Jakirovic has called for the forward to improve his fitness and training intensity following an interrupted summer preparation.
Vaz tested the Derby goalkeeper in the first half but did not score or assist in Hull’s 1–0 victory, secured by Kieran Wilson in stoppage time. The outing offered him an opportunity to rebuild match sharpness as he works towards a first-team return.
Dovbyk gets a brief opportunity at Bologna
Artem Dovbyk returned to action after remaining on the bench against Cagliari and Milan, coming on for the closing stages of Bologna’s 2–1 win over Monza.
The Ukrainian replaced Federico Bernardeschi in the 83rd minute but had little opportunity to influence the game.
His involvement was a small step forward, though regular football remains elusive. Roma are watching a situation that has already prompted reports of uncertainty over Dovbyk’s future at Bologna.
Reale’s error proves costly at Verona
Filippo Reale played the full match in Carrarese’s 3–0 defeat at Verona, but his mistake contributed directly to the hosts’ second goal.
Having initially reached a long ball ahead of Daniel Mosquera, the defender underhit his back-pass. Mosquera seized possession, rounded the goalkeeper and scored.
It was another difficult moment for Reale after conceding a penalty against Arezzo in the previous match. Tuttomercatoweb awarded him 4.5, with the error central to that assessment.
Seck and Nardin offer encouraging signs
Mohamed Seck completed 90 minutes in Foggia’s 2–2 draw at Casarano, producing an attentive defensive performance as his side rescued a point deep into stoppage time.
The centre-back avoided a booking and received a positive assessment from Foggiacalciomania, continuing his recent improvement under Gaetano Auteri.
Federico Nardin also played the full match, helping Pescara keep a clean sheet in a goalless draw with Torres.
The defender nearly added a goal to his performance but fired over from a promising position in the second half. PescaraSport24 rated him 6, recognising his defensive contribution while noting the missed chance.
Salah-Eddine features in derby victory
Anass Salah-Eddine came on in the 71st minute of Panathinaikos’ 2–0 derby win over AEK Athens, helping his side see out the result against ten men.
He received a stoppage-time booking and was then absent from the matchday squad for the 2–1 Conference League victory over CSKA Sofia.
The week brought another league appearance, but no opportunity to build on it in Europe.
Cherubini gets 45 minutes, Mannini remains on the bench
Luigi Cherubini entered at half-time in Benevento’s 2–0 defeat at Cremonese but could not help turn the match around.
It was a quieter performance after more productive outings against Arezzo and Catanzaro, in which he had threatened goal and won a penalty respectively.
Fellow Roma loanee Mattia Mannini was an unused substitute in the same match. Another afternoon without minutes leaves him still searching for a larger role in Antonio Floro Flores’ plans.
Zelezny’s distribution error mars Perugia outing
Radoslaw Zelezny played throughout Perugia’s 1–1 draw at Guidonia Montecelio, conceding from an early penalty.
He was not particularly at fault for the goal, but a late misplaced pass handed the opposition a chance and required a teammate to intervene. SportPerugia gave him 5.5, highlighting that lapse.
Regular senior football remains a positive for the young goalkeeper, even as he works to improve his decision-making in possession.
Kumbulla and Angeliño struggle for league minutes
Marash Kumbulla was absent from Rayo Vallecano’s squad for their 3–0 win over Celta Vigo, having recently played 80 minutes against Recreativo Huelva in the Copa del Rey.
The reason for his omission remains unclear, so it cannot be attributed definitively to injury or a selection decision.
Angeliño also failed to follow a cup appearance with league minutes. After completing the Copa del Rey win over Auriense, he remained on the bench as Deportivo La Coruña beat Osasuna 2–1.
Litti returns to the squad, Ziolkowski still recovering
Marco Litti was back among Lecco’s substitutes after recovering from flu, but remained unused in their 4–0 victory over Dolomiti Bellunesi.
Jan Ziolkowski, meanwhile, continues to recover from plantar fasciitis and missed Monza’s defeat at Bologna.
A return after the November international break remains the target for the Polish defender, although a firm comeback date has yet to be established.
