Roma’s search for a new winger remains active, but Alfredo Pedullà has provided several important updates on the club’s shortlist.
According to the Italian transfer expert, Malick Fofana is a player Roma appreciate, but the Giallorossi are not actively pursuing a move for the Lyon winger. One of the main concerns is the Belgian’s recent ankle injury, with doubts over his physical condition making Roma reluctant to advance their interest.
Pedullà also dismissed reports linking Roma with Jamie Leweling, stating that the Stuttgart winger is not a concrete target for the club despite recent speculation.
Nusa saga nearing its conclusion
Roma’s priority remains Antonio Nusa, and Pedullà believes the lengthy negotiations are now approaching a decisive moment.
Talks between the clubs have involved what he described as a prolonged negotiating battle, but the situation is expected to reach a conclusion soon—either with an agreement or with Roma moving on to alternative targets after weeks of complicated discussions.
No breakthrough yet for Read
Pedullà also addressed Roma’s pursuit of Givairo Read, confirming that there has been no significant progress since the latest round of negotiations.
While discussions remain ongoing, there has yet to be a breakthrough between Roma and Feyenoord as sporting director Tony D’Amico continues to work on finding an agreement for the highly-rated Dutch full-back.
