Roma’s summer transfer window continued to dominate the headlines on Monday, with fresh updates on Givairo Read, outgoing transfers and several new names linked with the Giallorossi. Here’s everything you may have missed.
Read deal still progressing despite no breakthrough
The biggest story of the day remained Givairo Read.
Multiple reliable sources, including Fabrizio Romano, Filippo Biafora, Alfredo Pedullà, and Angelo Mangiante, confirmed that negotiations between Roma and Feyenoord are continuing.
While Read has already agreed to join Roma and has been convinced by Gian Piero Gasperini’s project, Feyenoord remain firm on their €30 million valuation. Roma are continuing to negotiate the structure of the deal, including bonuses and a possible sell-on clause.
Although there was no breakthrough on Monday evening, confidence remains that an agreement can still be reached.
Pedullà: Nusa talks nearing a conclusion
According to Alfredo Pedullà, the lengthy negotiations for Antonio Nusa are approaching a decisive stage.
Pedullà explained that discussions have become a prolonged negotiating battle and should soon end one way or another. He also reported that Roma appreciate Malick Fofana but are not pursuing the Lyon winger due to concerns surrounding his ankle injury, while ruling out interest in Jamie Leweling.
Kevin bid rejected
Brazilian outlet ge.globo reported that Roma saw an offer worth around €50 million rejected by Fulham for Brazilian winger Kevin.
The Premier League side consider the 23-year-old a player with significant untapped potential and are reluctant to sell, although Roma could yet return with an improved proposal.
Endrick remains on Roma’s radar
Roma continue to monitor Endrick’s situation at Real Madrid.
According to Ekrem Konur, the Giallorossi are exploring a deal similar to Como’s move for Nico Paz, with a loan, purchase option and buy-back clause. The Brazilian will first be assessed during Real Madrid’s pre-season before a decision is made on his future.
Angeliño deal structure questioned
There were conflicting reports regarding Angeliño’s move to Deportivo.
While Gianluca Di Marzio reported the transfer would include an obligation to buy worth €2.5 million, Fabrizio Romano stated that sources close to the player insist no mandatory purchase clause is currently included. The official documents are expected to clarify the final structure.
Pisilli reaffirms Roma commitment
In an exclusive interview with LaRoma24, Niccolò Pisilli dismissed any suggestions of leaving Roma.
The academy graduate revealed he has “never thought about another club,” confirmed he expects to return from injury within a week, and described playing Champions League football with Roma as a childhood dream.
Rensch embraces Gasperini’s demands
Devyne Rensch also spoke about life under Gian Piero Gasperini.
The Dutch defender praised the coach’s demanding mentality and reflected on the emotional moment he signed for Roma, while insisting his focus is firmly on the upcoming season after helping the club qualify for the Champions League.
Bah suffers devastating injury
Roma also received disappointing news after medical tests confirmed Muhammed Bah has suffered a second ACL rupture at just 19 years of age.
The young midfielder now faces another lengthy rehabilitation.
