Roma’s pursuit of Givairo Read will continue beyond today, with a final agreement between the Giallorossi and Feyenoord still yet to be reached.
According to Angelo Mangiante, there will not be a breakthrough this evening despite ongoing negotiations between the two clubs.
The main obstacle remains Feyenoord’s valuation of the Dutch right-back. The Eredivisie side continue to demand €30 million for the 21-year-old, while Roma are still working to close the remaining gap.
The Giallorossi have already reached a full agreement with Read on personal terms, with the defender eager to join Gian Piero Gasperini’s project. However, discussions between the clubs are continuing over the overall financial package, including the bonus structure and a potential sell-on percentage.
Roma remain optimistic that an agreement can eventually be found, but negotiations are still ongoing and more talks will be required before the transfer can be completed.
