Roma full-back Anass Salah-Eddine, who is attracting interest from Monaco

Monaco target Salah-Eddine as Roma consider Kehrer solution

The Ligue 1 club want the Roma full-back on loan, while the Giallorossi would prefer a permanent sale.

Monaco have expressed interest in signing Roma left-back Anass Salah-Eddine, according to Flavio Maria Tassotti.

The French club would prefer to complete the operation on loan, but Roma are currently seeking a permanent transfer that would allow them to generate immediate revenue during the final days of the window.

The difference between the clubs’ preferred formulas means an agreement has not yet been reached. However, Monaco defender Thilo Kehrer could potentially become an important part of the discussions.

Kehrer could help unlock negotiations

Roma are searching for another defender following the collapse of the Jayden Oosterwolde deal and the expected departure of Jan Ziolkowski to Monza.

Kehrer’s versatility could make him an attractive option for Gian Piero Gasperini. The Germany international is capable of operating centrally or on the right side of a three-man defence.

No agreement or formal exchange involving Salah-Eddine and Kehrer has been reported. However, the two players’ situations could help the clubs find a broader solution that satisfies their respective needs.

Salah-Eddine’s future remains uncertain after struggling to establish a consistent role at Roma. Monaco’s interest provides the Giallorossi with another possible exit route, although Roma’s preference for a permanent sale remains an obstacle to the proposed loan.
