Gianluca Di Marzio and Fabrizio Romano report that Roma’s pursuit of Jamie Bynoe-Gittens has cooled because Chelsea remain unwilling to approve the club’s proposed transfer formula.
Roma have been working to sign the English winger on loan, but Chelsea have not offered any significant opening toward a temporary departure. The Premier League club continue to resist the Giallorossi’s approach, leaving the negotiations without a breakthrough.
Bynoe-Gittens had emerged as Gian Piero Gasperini’s preferred option for the left side of Roma’s attack. Unless Chelsea soften their position, however, Roma will need to concentrate on alternative targets before the transfer window closes.
The club are continuing to evaluate Zenit winger Luiz Henrique and Stuttgart’s Jamie Leweling. The latter option has also encountered difficulties, with no agreement currently in place with Stuttgart or the player’s representatives.
With time running out, Roma must now determine whether another attempt for Bynoe-Gittens is realistic or redirect their efforts toward a more attainable option.
