Filippo Biafora reports that Roma have accepted RB Leipzig’s offer for midfielder Neil El Aynaoui, clearing the way for his departure after one season in the capital.
The proposed agreement is a paid loan worth €3 million plus €1 million in bonuses. Leipzig will hold an option to buy El Aynaoui for €28 million plus additional bonuses, while Roma would also retain a 20 percent sell-on clause.
Crucially, the agreement does not include a conditional obligation to buy. Leipzig will therefore have the choice of whether to make the transfer permanent at the end of the loan.
The Bundesliga club had recently opened negotiations with Roma for El Aynaoui amid additional interest from Crystal Palace.
El Aynaoui’s expected departure coincides with Roma’s move for Atalanta captain Marten de Roon, who is set to reunite with Gian Piero Gasperini.
The transfer must now be finalized with the remaining contractual and administrative steps before El Aynaoui’s move to Leipzig can be considered complete.
