8:42 AM ET: No Active Negotiations for Bynoe-Gittens
Despite the continued speculation surrounding Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, there are currently no active negotiations for the Chelsea winger, according to Fabrizio Romano. Reports suggesting a potential swap involving Bynoe-Gittens and Roma midfielder Manu Koné have also been firmly denied by Chelsea.
Roma remain in contact with Chelsea over Jamie Bynoe-Gittens, but the Premier League club have yet to open the door to a loan move.
Roma are continuing their pursuit of Jamie Bynoe-Gittens as they attempt to add another winger to Gian Piero Gasperini’s squad before the transfer deadline.
According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Giallorossi are still pushing Chelsea to find an agreement for the English attacker.
Chelsea Still Rejecting Loan Formula
Despite Roma’s continued efforts, Chelsea have not offered any indication that they are prepared to sanction a loan departure. Fabrizio Romano reports that the London club’s position on the proposed formula remains unchanged.
Roma had reportedly considered a paid loan worth €5 million with an option to buy for approximately €55 million. However, Chelsea’s resistance continues to represent the central obstacle to the operation.
The Giallorossi must now determine whether one final round of negotiations can change Chelsea’s position or whether they need to concentrate on an alternative target during the closing hours of the transfer window.
