Roma are reportedly continuing to monitor Endrick’s situation at Real Madrid ahead of the January transfer window.
The Brazilian striker was linked with the Giallorossi during the summer and remains a player of interest as Tony D’Amico evaluates possible additions to Gian Piero Gasperini’s attack.
According to Fichajes.net, Real Madrid could consider another temporary departure for Endrick if he struggles to secure regular playing time during the coming months.
Endrick faces increased competition at Real Madrid
Endrick has returned from injury and is now ready to compete for a place in José Mourinho’s Real Madrid team.
His path to consistent minutes has been complicated by the impressive impact of Espí, who joined the Spanish giants from Levante during the summer. The striker’s emergence has increased competition within an already deep attacking department.
Endrick remains under contract with Real Madrid until 2030, and the club continue to consider him an important prospect. However, another loan could be evaluated if his development is limited by a lack of opportunities.
The Brazilian spent the second half of last season with Lyon and impressed during his time in Ligue 1. A similar agreement could allow him to play regularly without Real Madrid relinquishing control over his long-term future.
Roma remain interested in Endrick
Roma’s interest has never completely disappeared. Endrick was previously described as one of D’Amico’s priority targets for the January window, with the player reportedly attracted by the possibility of moving to the Italian capital.
His age, speed and attacking potential fit Roma’s recent strategy of investing in young players capable of developing under Gasperini.
The presence of fellow Brazilian Wesley could also help Endrick adapt to life in Rome, although any deal would depend on Real Madrid’s conditions and the role available within the Giallorossi squad.
Roma already have Malen and Santiago Castro competing in attack, meaning the club would need to determine how Endrick could be incorporated without restricting the development of its existing forwards.
January loan could suit all parties
A loan would appear to be the most realistic structure for a potential January operation.
Real Madrid could provide Endrick with greater playing time, Roma would add another high-upside attacking option and the player would have an opportunity to compete in Serie A and the Champions League.
The Giallorossi are also continuing to monitor other attacking targets, including Zenit winger Luiz Henrique. The two Brazilians possess different characteristics and would not necessarily be considered direct alternatives.
No negotiations are currently reported to be underway. Endrick’s playing time between now and January will likely determine whether Real Madrid become receptive to another loan and whether Roma decide to make a formal approach.
