Roma and Everton have both avoided defeat across all competitions during the opening month of the 2026/27 season, placing the Friedkin-owned clubs among Europe’s remaining unbeaten teams.
The 2026/27 season has started in memorable fashion for the Friedkin family.
Roma have established themselves among the early leaders in Serie A under Gian Piero Gasperini, while Everton have also begun their campaign without a defeat across the Premier League and EFL Cup.
The results provide an encouraging sporting backdrop as the Friedkin Group continues to evaluate the possibility of bringing new investors into Everton.
Everton Unbeaten in Seven Matches
Everton have collected nine points from their opening five Premier League fixtures, temporarily placing them seventh in the table.
The Toffees defeated Crystal Palace and Ipswich Town while drawing against Bournemouth, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur.
Their unbeaten sequence has also extended into the EFL Cup. Everton defeated Preston North End and Wolves to qualify for the round of 16, where they will face Newcastle United.
Across their first seven competitive matches, the Liverpool club have recorded four victories and three draws.
Roma Enjoy an Even Stronger Opening
Roma have produced an even more impressive start under Gasperini.
The Giallorossi have played six matches across Serie A and the Champions League, recording four victories and two draws. They have scored 15 goals and conceded only four.
Roma opened their domestic season with four consecutive victories before drawing 2-2 against Inter at the Stadio Olimpico.
Their return to the Champions League also began with a 1-1 draw away to Fenerbahçe.
The results have demonstrated Roma’s attacking quality and defensive organization, with Gasperini’s side emerging as one of the most impressive teams in Italy during the opening weeks of the campaign.
Nine Teams Remain Unbeaten Across Europe’s Top Five Leagues
Roma and Everton are reportedly among only nine clubs from Europe’s five leading domestic leagues that remain unbeaten across all competitions this season.

The list includes several of Europe’s leading clubs, making the presence of both Friedkin-owned teams particularly notable.
