Belgium, Turkey and France will provide the opposition for Roberto Mancini’s new-look Italy during the September Nations League international window.
The Azzurri begin their campaign against Belgium at the Stadio Olimpico on Friday evening, with kickoff scheduled for 20:45 local time.
Mancini has returned for another spell as Italy head coach after previously leading the national team to victory over England in the European Championship final at Wembley.
The coach previewed the Belgium match on Thursday, discussing his return to the Olimpico and several of the younger players selected for the international window.
Gianluca Mancini represents Roma in Italy squad
Gianluca Mancini is the only Roma player included in Italy’s final matchday squad for the meeting with Belgium.
The defender is expected to start at the Olimpico and will hope to play an important role as the Azzurri begin a demanding sequence of three Nations League fixtures.
Daniele Ghilardi was initially considered a possible inclusion, but Roberto Mancini ultimately selected other defensive options.
Matteo Pessina, Guéla Doué Kouadio, Matteo Ruggeri, Samuele Ricci, Nicolò Fagioli, Gonçalo Inácio, Antonio Vergara, Nicolò Zaniolo and Sebastiano Esposito were also omitted from the final squad.

Goalkeepers: Gianluigi Donnarumma, Marco Carnesecchi, Guglielmo Vicario.
Defenders: Michael Kayode, Honest Ahanor, Riccardo Calafiori, Diego Coppola, Giorgio Scalvini, Giovanni Di Lorenzo, Gianluca Mancini.
Midfielders: Alessandro Romano, Rolando Mandragora, Sandro Tonali, Oumar Doumbia, Ebrima Zoma, Davide Frattesi, Nicolò Barella.
Forwards: Francesco Pio Esposito, Moise Kean, Giacomo Raspadori, Gianluca Scamacca, Daniel Maldini, Nicolò Cambiaghi.
Roma will also be represented across several other national and youth teams during the break, with Evan Ndicka and Konstantinos Koulierakis among the first players involved.
