Manu Koné’s impressive start to the season has been reflected in Transfermarkt’s latest Serie A market-value update.
The Roma midfielder’s estimated value has increased by €10 million, rising from €50 million to €60 million. That makes Koné the most valuable central midfielder in the Italian top flight, ahead of Inter pair Nicolò Barella and Petar Sučić.
Koné Overtakes Barella in Serie A Ranking
Koné now leads the positional ranking with a €60 million valuation, while Barella occupies second place at €50 million. Sučić completes the top three with an estimated value of €45 million.
Transfermarkt’s figures are independent estimates and do not necessarily represent the transfer fee Roma would demand. Nevertheless, the update reflects Koné’s growing standing within Serie A and European football.
The Frenchman is also Roma’s most valuable player and one of the highest-rated footballers in the entire Italian championship.
Inter Double Highlights Koné’s Development
Roma have started their season unbeaten across their opening six matches in Serie A and the Champions League, with Koné playing an important role in Gian Piero Gasperini’s midfield.
His best performance came during the 2-2 draw against Inter at the Stadio Olimpico. Koné scored twice—the first double of his professional career—and repeatedly caused problems for the Nerazzurri with his physicality and ability to carry possession through midfield.
The performance strengthened the belief that Koné can add consistent attacking production to the defensive intensity and ball progression he already provides.
His two goals also contributed to Roma’s increased scoring output from central midfield.
Koné Continues to Impress With France
Koné carried his strong club form into the international break, impressing during France’s Nations League victory over Turkey.
Zinedine Zidane used the 25-year-old in a deeper midfield position and praised the balance he provided. The tactical experiment demonstrated another side of Koné’s game and underlined his ability to perform different responsibilities at the highest level.
The Roma midfielder’s new role under Zidane offered another indication of his growing tactical maturity.
After Roma rejected interest from Chelsea during the summer, Koné has responded by becoming even more important to Gasperini. His Transfermarkt increase from €50 million to €60 million is the latest recognition of that development.
