The Brazilian has emerged as another midfield option as the Giallorossi assess Neil El Aynaoui’s future.
Roma have made an enquiry for Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder André, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Giallorossi have requested information about the Brazilian, but no formal offer or advanced negotiations have been reported. The contact appears to be part of Roma’s assessment of potential midfield opportunities before the transfer deadline.
André joined Wolves after establishing himself with Fluminense and the Brazilian national team. Primarily a defensive midfielder, he could provide Gian Piero Gasperini with greater protection in front of the defence and another option during the build-up phase.
Roma’s enquiry arrives as RB Leipzig negotiate for Neil El Aynaoui. The German club have proposed a paid loan with an option to buy, although Roma have previously indicated a preference for a permanent sale or guaranteed purchase obligation.
The Giallorossi have also revived their interest in Benfica midfielder Richard Ríos. André therefore represents another name to monitor, but Roma’s enquiry has not yet developed into a concrete transfer operation.
