Roma have entered the decisive stage of the transfer window with Luiz Henrique moving closer to the capital, Robinio Vaz agreeing to join Hull City and Neil El Aynaoui heading toward RB Leipzig.
The Giallorossi have also completed the signings of Leonardo Balerdi and Marten de Roon, while Jamie Leweling, Jamie Bynoe-Gittens and Matías Soulé remain involved in Roma’s final attacking decisions.
Roma push to close Luiz Henrique deal
Luiz Henrique has emerged as the leading candidate to complete Gian Piero Gasperini’s attack.
Roma have reportedly offered Zenit Saint Petersburg a €5 million paid loan containing a €30 million option to buy. Fabrizio Romano reports that the Giallorossi have reached complete agreements with both Zenit and the Brazilian winger.
The 25-year-old has made Roma his preferred destination and is ready to travel once the club gives its final approval.
Alfredo Pedullà subsequently reported that negotiations were continuing without interruption, with Roma decisively turning toward Luiz Henrique. Gianluca Di Marzio also described the winger as moving increasingly closer to the Giallorossi.
Roma are now working to complete the final steps of the Luiz Henrique transfer.
Leweling remains in contention
Despite Roma’s progress for Luiz Henrique, Jamie Leweling has not disappeared from the club’s plans.
Roma reportedly proposed a €5 million paid loan with a conditional €35 million obligation to buy, but Stuttgart rejected the opening offer. There is also no agreement currently in place with Leweling’s representatives.
However, Alfredo Pedullà insists that the winger never left Roma’s radar. Fabrizio Romano adds that Roma remain in regular contact with Stuttgart and the player’s agents.
The club must determine whether to sign one or two attacking wingers. Any second arrival could depend on a departure from Gasperini’s squad, with Soulé’s situation potentially proving decisive.

Gittens hope remains despite Chelsea resistance
Roma’s pursuit of Jamie Bynoe-Gittens has cooled because Chelsea continue to oppose a loan departure.
Fabrizio Romano and Gianluca Di Marzio report that the London club have not offered a meaningful opening toward Roma’s proposed formula. That stance has pushed the Giallorossi toward more attainable alternatives.
Pedullà nevertheless reports that a small amount of hope remains, particularly if Soulé leaves. Bynoe-Gittens and Leweling would be the primary candidates for a possible second attacking addition.
For now, however, there is no breakthrough between Roma and Chelsea.
Soulé attracts Premier League interest
Newcastle United and Fulham have contacted Matías Soulé’s representatives, according to Fabrizio Romano.
Santi Aouna has also reported ongoing contact involving Newcastle. No agreement has been reached, and Roma have not received a formal offer.
Gasperini addressed the speculation during his pre-Lecce press conference.
“There have been no proposals,” Gasperini said. “That does not mean agents are not talking, but there has never been anything concrete.”
Alfredo Pedullà also reports that no concrete offer has arrived for Soulé. The Argentine remains available to play against Lecce, but a significant late proposal could influence Roma’s plan to sign a second winger.

Hull City agree deal for Robinio Vaz
Fabrizio Romano reports that Hull City have reached a verbal agreement to sign Robinio Vaz from Roma.
The 19-year-old has given his initial approval to a €2 million paid loan containing a €30 million option to buy. Hull are arranging his travel within the next 24 hours to complete the remaining formalities.
Vaz was omitted from Roma’s squad for the Lecce match because of the negotiations. The forward had taken time to consider the move amid interest from France, Germany and PSV Eindhoven, but has now given Hull the green light.

Roma accept Leipzig offer for El Aynaoui
Neil El Aynaoui is also approaching a departure after Roma accepted RB Leipzig’s proposal.
Reports differ slightly on the financial breakdown. Filippo Biafora described the deal as a €3 million paid loan plus €1 million in bonuses, with a €28 million option to buy. Angelo Mangiante reported a €4.5 million loan and a €27 million purchase option.
Both reports agree that Roma will retain a percentage of any future resale and that the agreement does not contain an obligation to buy.

Balerdi and De Roon officially join Roma
Roma have officially completed two experienced additions to Gasperini’s squad.
Leonardo Balerdi has joined from Marseille on loan with an option to buy. The Argentine centre-back will wear number 26 and has already travelled with the squad to Lecce.
Marten de Roon has also completed his move from Atalanta, reuniting with Gasperini after nine seasons together in Bergamo.
The Dutch midfielder has been called up for Lecce-Roma and will immediately join his new teammates. De Roon effectively replaces El Aynaoui while bringing leadership, tactical familiarity and experience to Roma’s midfield.

Roma’s immediate priority is to complete the Luiz Henrique operation.
Leweling remains an active option, while Gittens would require Chelsea to reverse its position. A second winger could depend on Soulé leaving, although no concrete offer has reached Roma.
